Description
A short and easy recovery ride for me – a little more work for Mike, since he hasn’t ridden too much in the last few months – he wants to get in shape for the Santa Cruz Mtn Challenge (he’s given up on the idea of doing the Death Ride – not enough training time left). He did a good time up the Glenwood climb, doing 13:36 – about a minute faster than when we did the same climb a few weeks ago. So he’s doing better, despite his lack of miles. I only averaged 134 bpm on the climb, so I think I could have done a new PB (less than 11:35) if I had gone all out – and maybe even done as well as Mike’s all-time PB of just under 11 minutes! WooooooHooooooo!!!! Rode with my new SCCCC kit for the first time today and really impressed Mike and Warren (Warren did not ride with us, but got a chance to see the new kit – I think he wants to get something like this for himself soon).
