Description
A great 3 hour ride (but only 2:34 riding time) with Jeff and Mike, where I was clearly feeling pretty strong. On Mtn Charlie, I did 29:12 with a heartrate that only averaged 147 bpm, which shows how easy the pace was for me (I only went hard for the last couple hundred yards to see if I could beat 29 minutes) – if I had been going at a full time-trial pace for the whole climb, I probably could have broken my PB of 27:20 with no problem!! Yeeeeehaaaaawwwww!!!! Then, on the Rodeo Gulch climb at the end, I did an excellent 5:20 for the climb, which is only 23 seconds slower than my PB of 4:57 – and my heartrate only averaged 157 bpm – so I could have probably broken my PB with a true time-trial effort the entire way – another reason to go Yeeeeeehaaaaaaawww!!! On the Granite Creek climbs, my pace was pretty easy – 3:37 for the first climb and then only 4:16 for the second climb. And my heartrate averages for those 2 Granite Creek climbs was only 141 bpm and 148 bpm, respectively – a very easy pace for me!! The total time for the entire Rodeo Gulch climb was 22:16 (first time I timed that whole climb).
